Mindful and Modern Therapies, and its sister school Maria Montessori International Academy present our ARTism Spectrum Series – a multi-disciplinary art program for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) taught by professional local artists. Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) are on-site to provide support while parents attend an educational session to learn about Mindful and Modern Therapies’s authentic Montessori teaching.

These sensory activities are great for any kid, and if you have a child on the autism spectrum, he or she is sure to enjoy! Inclusion practices in sensory art helps them express themselves creatively, build confidence, and aid in strengthening fine and gross motor skills.

Moving with Sound Waves
Students will explore the science of sound waves and vibration through the harp via Dalcroze Eurhythmics, an educational technique that allows the students to gain physical awareness and experience of music through all of the senses, particularly kinesthetic. Using storytelling and movement students will bring characters to life through the music of the harp.
